Breeding 2016, first day of spring

First day of spring 2016, only the weather doen't know yet. Little newsfacts from the breedingfront. According to my calculations the first eggs should hatch today, but looking at this pair of eggs there was no sign of youngsters trying to creep out of their shells, probably a false start. The pair that's on the eggs is restless, every time I enter the loft, they are next to their nestbowl, not a good sign. The hen is still a little young, I think that explains their behaviour. Experience is what counts, that's  not for humans only. I'm waiting for the breeding pairs to lay the second round of eggs, should happen somewhere during the coming week, as the hen is showing in the picture.
